I don't know why I like mule deer hunting so much. Maybe it's because I grew up in whitetail country and there is something a little exotic about these big eared deer with their impossibly tall and wide racks. Or maybe it's because they live in the most inviting of western landscapes. Whatever the case, there is an undeniable allure to America's 'other' deer.
