. I've been coming here for the last 20 years to renew my shotgun wedding vows of sorts--both as a waterfowler and as an upland bird hunter. Over the years, there are fewer and fewer farm houses with the lights on. The average age of a Canadian farmer is approaching 60 so it's clear that change is underway on the land. Kids have chased work in places like Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatoon, leaving the countryside as empty as a Kardashian brain...and for the brotherhood of shotgun toters like me, that's just fine.
